Flashlight Film Services, an Auckland based film lighting company, has successfully operated throughout New Zealand for 21 years.
Flashlight has four lighting trucks and a warehouse of modern, well-maintained lighting equipment. We supply trucks and personnel for Feature Films and Television Commercials and have affiliations with major lighting rental companies that provide additional equipment & backup throughout both the North and South Islands of New Zealand.
Flashlight provides flexible lighting packages for features and commercials - both local and international. The majority of the equipment is Arri (from 18K Fresnels, and 12K pars down to .125 pocket pars), with a selection from other manufacturers, including Silver Bullet 12K's, Mole Richardson 24K Dinos and a full range of Kinoflo fluorescent fixtures.
We also assist productions by organising experienced personnel and supplying Blimped Generator trucks (with voltage sensing/electronic governing) up to 250 KVA. Our gaffers and crews have worked on numerous international productions, including the TV Series "Xena: Warrior Princess" and the Oscar nominated features "The Lord of the Rings" and "Avatar".
